Peyote (Lophophora Williamsii), also known as Hikuri (deer meat), Carne de Dios or Mezcalito, is a cactus that grows in some desert areas of northern Mexico (it is located primarily in San Luis PotosÃ, but also in Coahuila and Chihuahua) and in some parts of the United States (especially in Texas and Arizona). Seven eighths of the plant is buried in the ground. The part inside the soil, the root, is very similar to a radish. What sticks out is known as the head. And each one has some segments also called buttons. In the center a flower is born. Its active substance is mescaline. A powerful hallucinogen that is capable of inducing visions in the user.
